This book study includes 2 facilitated online sessions, ongoing interactive learning opportunities through Google Classroom, and a wonderful deep-dive morning with Damian Cooper, author of his just-released book Rebooting Assessment: A Practical Guide for Balancing Conversations, Performances, and Products

Join Cheryl Babin, Designer of Professional Learning from the Calgary Regional Consortium and Michele Jones, Executive Director from the Alberta Assessment Consortium, as we explore the multitude of practical resources provided through the text and discuss ways to enhance student achievement by curating evidence in authentic and manageable ways. 

Part 1:  Thursday, March 17 4:00 – 4:30 pm MT

This 30 minute session will be an introduction to the book study and your resource package to support reflection and implementation of concepts from the book, orientation to our Google Classroom and a chance to get to know our group.  Facilitated by Cheryl Babin & Michele Jones

Part 2: Thursday, April 7 4:00 – 5:30 pm MT

This 90 minute session will be an interactive and collaborative dive into the text!  We will explore key aspects that relate to your context, consider practical applications and share insights into Damian’s ideas that will best support the learners in your care. 

Part 3:  Friday, April 22 9:00 am – 12:00 pm MT

This 3 hour session will be led by author and educational consultant Damian Cooper.  During this session, Damian will expand upon the book and examine the key aspects with his usual flare and insight.
