Join us for this self-paced exploration through resources and experiences designed to support your journey in unpacking how to provide instruction that develops conceptual understanding in students.  Consider theoretical foundations, practical application and strategic assessment processes that help students to develop competencies, make meaningful connections between knowledge and the application of skills, and engage authentically with significant ideas within our complex world.

About the Presenter(s)

Cheryl Babin is an International Baccalaureate Programme Coordinator and workshop leader.  With experience in public, international and independent schools as an educator, experiential learning director, instructional coach and consultant, Cheryl has also been a sessional instructor for B. Ed. students at St. Mary's University in Calgary.  Specific areas of interest and experience include designing learning through a pedagogy of inquiry, concept based curriculum and instruction, student engaged assessment, and the development of international-mindedness and global perspectives.
