Are you teaching a combined-grade math class this year? Join our supportive community of educators navigating similar challenges. This series is designed to provide practical strategies, shared resources, and collaborative problem-solving so that you leave with a solid foundation for your math combined grade year plan and a stronger network of support.

Please note, if you attended  the June 11, 2025 session, you can skip the first session (Sept 22)  of this series, as it is a repeat for those teachers not with us in June.    If you joined our series last year, this is a repeat, so please email Wanda or Jackie if you would like to talk about next steps with combined grade teaching.

September 22, 2025 – Focused Planning Day

Teachers often say they need time to think, collaborate, and create practical resources—this day is exactly that. With a dedicated focus on building your year plan, you will:
✔ Examine, compare, and align math curricula across your combined grades
✔ Explore strategies to streamline planning and instruction
✔ Work independently or collaborate with other educators, with support available from learning coaches
✔ Leave with a solid foundation for your math year plan

This session will be a mix of learning, discussion, and hands-on work time, allowing you to make real progress in your planning while benefiting from shared expertise.

November 3, 2025 – Deep Dive into Key Challenges
Based on feedback from experienced combined-grade teachers, we will explore practical strategies for:

✔Differentiation – meeting the needs of diverse learners
✔Planning and Assessment – structuring meaningful learning experiences
✔Classroom Logistics and Structures – managing routines effectively
✔Curriculum Alignment – ensuring coherence across grades

You’ll have the chance to view and discuss concise video segments featuring insights from teachers who have successfully navigated these challenges, followed by time to apply these ideas to your year plan.

December 1, 2025 – Sharing and Next Steps
In our final 75-minute session, we’ll reconnect to celebrate successes, discuss challenges, and refine next steps.

This series is all about supporting you in making your math instruction manageable and effective. Whether you join for a single day on June 11, or the full series, you’ll gain valuable insights, practical tools, and a community of colleagues to support your journey.

We look forward to learning and planning together!
