Thinking Like a Scientist - Making your classes come ALIVE!

Collaborate with us to activate your K - 6 science classes and SHARE the planning load with other innovative teachers! This full day session will provide you with a guided structure to design a unit or series of experiences that:

  • Efficiently clusters Learning Outcomes and KUSPs for single or multi-grade classes
  • Meets the needs of all learners, specifically focusing on students who are learning EAL in a science context
  • Uses a compelling driving question, hands-on active experiences and lean into other subjects as well (think ELAL, Math, Art, Drama, & PE)
  • Makes learning science FUN!

Build your network and broaden your thinking in a supportive environment. You will have the time you need and deserve to dig into the design process. Come away with ready-to-implement ideas and some plans for next year!

K- 6 Teachers from ALL schools and districts are welcome.
