This series is designed to provide practical strategies, shared resources, and collaborative problem-solving so that you leave with a solid foundation for your math combined grade year plan and a stronger network of support.
You may want to join us for just June 11, or you may want to sign up for our three-part series. June 11, is for teachers who already know they will be teaching a combined-grade class next year. This day will give you a head start on planning. If you attend in June, you can skip the first session of the fall series, as the content will be the same.
June 11, 2025 – Focused Planning Day
Teachers often say they need time to think, collaborate, and create practical resources—this day is exactly that. With a dedicated focus on building your year plan, you will:
✔ Examine, compare, and align math curricula across your combined grades
✔ Explore strategies to streamline planning and instruction
✔ Work independently or collaborate with other educators, with support available from learning coaches
✔ Leave with a solid foundation for your math year plan
This session will be a mix of learning, discussion, and hands-on work time, allowing you to make real progress in your planning while benefiting from shared expertise.

Day 2 – Deep Dive into Key Challenges
Based on feedback from experienced combined-grade teachers, we will explore practical strategies for:
✔Differentiation – meeting the needs of diverse learners
✔Planning and Assessment – structuring meaningful learning experiences
✔Classroom Logistics and Structures – managing routines effectively
✔Curriculum Alignment – ensuring coherence across grades
You’ll have the chance to view and discuss concise video segments featuring insights from teachers who have successfully navigated these challenges, followed by time to apply these ideas to your year plan.
Day 3 – Sharing and Next Steps
In our final 90-minute session, we’ll reconnect to celebrate successes, discuss challenges, and refine next steps.
