Learning Opportunities

Krista is currently a specialist with the Early Learning Team within the Calgary Board of Education. She has taught for over a quarter century, which is a very long time, and may be one of the reasons she likes dinosaurs so much. (Just in case you are curious, her favourite dinosaur is the triceratops.) Krista is dedicated to creating learning environments where children become fully literate through play, conversations, experiences, and marvelous, meaningful books.

Jenn is currently a specialist with the Early Learning Team within the Calgary Board of Education. Her almost 25-year teaching career includes teaching preschool to grade 3 and working with children with complex learner profiles. Jenn's passion is creating learning environments where play and playful pedagogy are embraced. Play sparks imagination and creative thinking, fosters cognitive growth and allows for important physical and sensory input needed for social emotional well-being.
