TARGET AUDIENCE: ALL K-6 EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND

Taking a positive behaviour approach to student supports facilitates academic achievement and healthy social development of students in a safe, supportive learning environment. With this approach, Educational Assistants can positively affect how students behave and interact with one another.  Join this after school conversation on promoting positive behaviour and inclusion in the classroom

Together, we will learn strategies and ideas that support students in the classroom, including how to:

  • promote appropriate behaviour in a positive way
  • help students self-regulate
  • support students in their regulation by also regulating ourselves
  • support students in understanding how appropriate behaviours can improve sense of belonging for all
