is a member of the Siksika First Nation in Alberta. Kent has a passion for anything related to the Siksikai’tsitapiwahssinni and carries the traditional ways of the Siksikai’tsitapi. He has actualized these “gifts of knowledge” by participating actively in the Blackfoot societies and ceremonies. Kent was very fortunate to have his late grandfather Arthur Ayoungman Sr. and many other traditional teachers from the great Blackfoot Confederacy to guide and mentor him to live the Siksika way of life. Kent has applied his gifts of knowledge to the Old Sun Community College Siksika Studies Program, in the development and implementation of courses, projects and workshops. Kent is an honoured resident ceremonial knowledge keeper at Old Sun Community College.

is a member of the Siksika First Nation in Alberta. Her education includes a B.Ed. from the University of Calgary (1970) and three graduate degrees from Arizona State University. Her career spans 40+ years with positions as: classroom teacher, student counsellor, vice-principal, curriculum developer, college administrator, university instructor and executive director. She has served on many Boards (many as a founding member) and committees at the local, national and international levels. She has been recognized for her work such as the 1992 Woman of Distinction for Education, Calgary; and the 1992 Distinguished Alumni 1992, University of Calgary. She is currently part-time Executive Director of the First Nations Adult and Higher Education Consortium (FNAHEC) and her latest and most rewarding initiative is to work with Siksika Ceremonial Knowledge Keepers at Old Sun Community College on the development and implementation of Siksika Knowledge courses, many of which are transferable to mainstream universities.
