AUDIENCE: SYSTEM LEADERS, SCHOOL LEADERS AND GRADES 10-12 EDUCATORS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND.

Educational leaders across the province of Alberta are faced with the annual task of implementing changes that are a constant within their districts and schools. The changes embedded in High School Redesign as well as other initiatives require shifts in behaviour and modification of culture as educational landscapes evolve. How can these initiatives be implemented in a way that ensures success while considering the need to integrate theory, ensure sustainability and build capacity while  their current capacity in leading successful change within their organizations.

This session will provide leaders with an opportunity to build their current capacity in leading successful change within their organizations.

The four major components of the engagement include:

  • Change Theory – Creating a starting point
  • Path Process – Begin with the End in Mind, Develop Intertia, Analyze the Gaps, Move to Action
  • Creating Influence – Dealing with Culture
  • Application – How does change theory and process align with your change initiative?

This learning opportunity is being offered through a Moving Forward with High School Redesign grant.
