Join this collaborative community to explore the strategies and practical approaches that help concept-based curriculum and instruction come alive in your classroom.  Explore learning experiences, assessment tasks and reflection tools that support the development of students’ understanding.  Through this community, educators can co-create learning experiences for students, and reflect on the evidence of conceptual understandings revealed through student work samples.

About the Presenter(s)

Cheryl Babin is an International Baccalaureate Programme Coordinator and workshop leader.  With experience in public, international and independent schools as an educator, experiential learning director, instructional coach and consultant, Cheryl has also been a sessional instructor for B. Ed. students at St. Mary's University in Calgary.  Specific areas of interest and experience include designing learning through a pedagogy of inquiry, concept based curriculum and instruction, student engaged assessment, and the development of international-mindedness and global perspectives.
