For Indigenous peoples, land based learning is an important knowledge system, and one that we can discover from to support all students in connecting deeply to learning outcomes. How can learning from place help to create a foundation for science learning in your classroom that is contextualized to your community and to the people of that place?

This 4-part series will be guided by elders and knowledge keepers from the Treaty 7 area and will offer an exclusive perspective on how land is viewed in a holistic and relational manner for Indigenous peoples, and how this can help all students to understand science in a powerful way. You will learn from story and historical perspectives will be shared as part of this learning experience. Resources will be shared with participants.

This learning opportunity is being offered through grant funding from Alberta Education.
