Kits have been developed to address the integration of FNMI understandings and culture into existing curriculums for Social Studies, Science and Mathematics for Grades K-12.

The kits are only a starting point! They are living documents that are meant to be added to over time. School Jurisdictions involved in kit building are asked to also commit to ongoing development of materials and the sharing of these resources.

January 9th will be a building day and January 10th will be split into 2 parts. The morning will be a learning session on understanding Treaties. With the increased emphasis on this understanding throughout the new curriculum, Ramona Washburn from Maskwacis, will lead us through understanding Treaties as it applies to each of K-4. We will make every effort to have materials specific to each grade level for your binders. In the afternoon, we will be adding new materials and researching areas that we have already identified require more information linked to the new curriculum.  If you have already built your kits, plan on coming for January 10th.

***Once all materials are ordered and we know a cost, we will invoice your district for each kit that you build, per subject and grade. The cost of a complete set of kits for K to High School for a specific subject can range from $260.00 - $980.00.
