TARGET AUDIENCE: K-6 TEACHERS, DISTRICT LEADS AND OT/PT/SLP ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND

“Have you ever wondered why students react negatively to the word “test” or “quiz” or or what authentic assessment for success looks like in our 21stcentury learning environment?

This professional development session is designed to be collaborative in nature and will  provide you with low tech and high tech ways to support your students in assessing thier way to success!

This session will provide:

  • Assessment methods to decrease anxiety levels in students.
  • Asessment methods to use with a variety of diverse learning needs.
  • Both formative and summative ssessment strategies grounded in current neuroscience and technology based as well as “low tech” options.
  • Interactive and fun ways to use consistent assessment in the classroom.
  • “Take home” strategies to use tomorrow in the classroom.
  • A concept based learning approach to assessment.

Come prepared to participate in the strategies and bring 5 questions you would like to include in an assessment tomorrow.

This learning opportunity is being offered through curriculum implementation funding from Alberta Education.
