Tracy Wood
was born and raised in England, and moved to Canada in 2001. She has worked mostly in specialized programs and with diverse learning students who show difficulties with self-regulation, executive functioning, cognitive delay, and anxiety. Tracy’s teaching experience in Canada began at a school for students exhibiting severe behavior with students in grades 6,7,8 & 9 and then a congregated program for students who have cognitive delay K-6. While completing her MEd in Educational Technology and Curriculum Design, she became a District Diverse Learning Teacher (DDLT) for Calgary Catholic School Division. Her current research topic and passion is neuroscience, how it affects learning, and how can we as educators create a climate of success for all students.
