TARGET AUDIENCE: GRADE 5-9 TEACHERS, INSTRUCTIONAL LEADERS, LEARNING COMMONS, LEARNING ASSISTANTS AND PARENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND

This session Indigenous Literacy- Perspectives for All Grades, will highlight strategies and ways to use Indigenous literature within your classroom. Various samples of books, levelled reading series and novels will be shared with exemplars of holistic ways of knowing. Learning from circle and lesson plans will be shared with participants. You will learn from story-telling, and cultural experiences to further your foundational knowledge of Alberta’s Indigenous people.

This learning opportunity is being offered through curriculum implementation funding from Alberta Education.
