AUDIENCE: SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS, DISTRICT LEADS/COACHES, TEACHERS, AND EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND.

In this session, respected Blood Elder; Randy Bottle, will present on Treaty Education and the Treaty 7 document. With extensive knowledge of the signing of Treaty 7, Randy will provide an Indigenous perspective, along with sharing inherent ways of knowing and foundational knowledge of the document. Additionally, the Treaty Education session will provide insight into the sacredness of the treaty and the negotiations between the sovereign First Nations and the British Crown as it means today. This learning opportunity is in support of Foundational Knowledge as it supports Treaty Education in Alberta.
