Target Audience: K-3 teachers, educational assistants, parents, administrators and guidance councellors are encouraged to attend.

This session will focus on how Indigenous ways of knowing can be infused in the K-3 ELA curriculum using specific Indigenous picture books and learning approaches. The session will demonstrate how literature can meet and connect numerous curricular outcomes as well as increase student and teacher foundational knowledge of Indigenous histories, cultures, and values. A list of free recommended literature and foundational knowledge resources will be shared with participants.
