Foothills School Division is partnered with Garfield Gini-Newman and Laura Gini-Newman from the Critical Thinking Consortium, and the team from the Calgary Regional Consortium, to engage our certificated staff in rich professional dialogue at our Fall Learning Conference.
Although the conference will be hosted online, with all staff in their own schools for the learning, the day is designed for collaboration across our system. The day begins with a keynote address for all, followed by “design camps” where attendees will personalize their learning to dig more deeply into a chosen focus area. Mid-day, we will pause for lunch and to allow time for staff wellness. We are excited to bring you many different opportunities to experience a guided wellness time and we encourage you to embrace this opportunity individually or with a team from your school.
We will head back into our design camps after the wellness time and then end the day with a closing keynote.
We are thankful to CRC for their support with the learning for the day as well as with the conference registration process. We ask that all staff register for sessions in order to allow us to create the appropriate links for learning including break out spaces for dialogue.
Links to join the conference will be emailed to registrants a few days prior to the event. Participants are asked to use their FSD email to register.
