AUDIENCE: K-12 TEACHERS, EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANTS, SUPPORT STAFF, CUSTODIANS, MENTORS, COACHES, PARENTS, LIBRAIANS & LIBRARY TECHNICIANS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND.

The Blanket Exercise is offered as a Foundational Knowledge support to build awareness and shared history of Indigenous Peoples in Canada. It is designed to deepen understanding of historical perspectives, and to continue the conversation and work of Reconciliation. This opportunity is to learn our collective history and to create a common understanding in the historic relationship between Indigenous people and the impacts of colonization.

You are encouraged to explore and use this exercise in your own community and context to build knowledge of Indigenous people in Alberta and Canada.  

This learning opportunity is being offered through a grant from Alberta Education.
